If you don't believe that the Divine is You then I will begin with that belief and I'll ask you to consider the following series of statements carefully.

So we start with:

(A) "I am not a Divine Being"

Because if I was then:

"I would have to take responsibility for everything that is happening in my life because I would be the creator of my life"

So buying into (A):

"Relieves me of responsibility and makes my life easier"

So that:

Hence in summary:

(B) "Believing that I am not a Divine Being makes my life easier and more comfortable"

Well if that were so then why are we looking for an experience of the Divine at all? Why are we praying for assistance from such a Being? I highly doubt it.

So, here's what you can do if you have the courage. Notice that statement (B) is clearly not the truth and reject it as the truth outright. Then notice how you feel. Now because statement (A) leaves you feeling helpless, powerless and alone it is clearly "toxic" to you, isn't it? If you recognize that it is then you can reject it as the truth about you as well.

Now try this; say to yourself once more: "I am not a Divine Being" and notice how that statement feels to you now. Does it resonate as truthful this time?
