OTTAWA - There has been little to celebrate at TD Place this season with the Ottawa Redblacks 2-14 record, but that hasnt stopped fans from throwing their unwavering support behind the new football club. The Redblacks host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (7-9) Friday night in their last home game of the year and as of Thursday afternoon, the team was anticipating a ninth consecutive sellout. You can watch all the action on TSN1, TSN3, TSN4, and TSN5 beginning at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. Fans can also listen to the action on TSN 1200 Ottawa. Head coach Rick Campbell says he would love nothing more than to send fans home with a victory as their final memory of their inaugural season. If that (sellout) happens its a pretty cool deal and a pretty big deal that you could sell out a whole season of a brand new football team, said Campbell. We want to give our fans something to cheer about. Our guys dont take it lightly about having a sellout for the whole season. Its a big deal and our players know its a big deal. In addition, Ottawa has the opportunity to play the role of spoiler. The Tiger-Cats, who are tied with Toronto for second in the East Division, are still looking to make the post-season and a win over the Redblacks could be essential to their playoff hopes. If theres one team and one game we want to win its this game right here, said Redblacks quarterback Henry Burris, who played for the Tiger-Cats last season and was released in the off-season. Teams have played spoiler for us in our new season so hopefully we can play spoiler on this occasion. Campbell says the teams focus is on its own game, but Jovon Johnson admitted the idea of spoiling Hamiltons playoff hopes is appealing. At this point, since we know were not going forward in the playoffs and knowing how tight the race is in the East, we have every intention of playing spoiler, said Johnson. That will definitely be part of the plan. The Tiger-Cats havent had much success on the road this season, going 1-7 away from Hamilton but have defeated Ottawa twice this season. The two teams played two weeks ago where the Tiger-Cats defeated the Redblacks 16-6, but with a few adjustments the Redblacks believe the result could have been very different. Weve just got to finish our drives on the offence, said Burris. The defence did a great job of holding them at bay, but if we can pull on our side and put the ball in positions to score and make some plays when we have the chance, thats the stuff thats been killing us all year and until we overcome those kinds of things well continually put ourselves in bad positions. But I have a good feeling about this one. Once again the Redblacks will give rookie quarterback Danny OBrien an opportunity to play. Campbell said he anticipates OBrien will play at least five or six series over the course of the game. Last week against Montreal OBrien went 3 for 5 for 111 yards with one touchdown and one interception. We think hes a good player with a future and we want to get a look at him,. Campbell said. OBrien was originally No. 3 on Ottawas depth chart, but moved up after Thomas DeMarco suffered a season-ending injury in late August. Overall OBrien is 10 for 19 this season (52.6 per cent) for 177 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. Burris has just one touchdown at TD Place. Antoine Pruneau, who was named the CFLs top Canadian for the month of October, was impressive in the Redblacks 16-6 loss to Hamilton two weeks ago where he had nine tackles and one sack. Pruneau leads all CFL rookies in defensive tackles this season with 62 and in his last 11 games as a starter, has led the Redblacks with 59 tackles. We know what theyre looking to accomplish and if we can stop them it would be an added bonus, said Pruneau. We know its going to be an intense game, but we were already very motivated to come out and play hard. This is our last home game and the best thing we could do is finish our season here with a win. Notes: On the offensive line, JMichael Deane will play at tackle, Jon Gott will play guard and Alexander Krausnick will play centre. Dobson Collins will play at receiver. On defence, Moton Hokins will play. Eddie Elder will not play Friday. ... Burris says his kids are willing to pass up trick or treating to come and watch him play. Nike Air Max 97 Blanche Soldes . In his eyes, only one other team might compare. Hes talking about the San Antonio Spurs. Thats why Wade believes these NBA Finals are just getting started. When he looks at the Spurs, he sees qualities his own team has, including an ability to break down a loss and quickly correct things. Its what Miami did before Game 2 of the finals and its what Wade expects the Spurs to do before the title series resumes with Game 3 in Miami on Tuesday night. "You never put them away," Wade said. "I think they always believe and its the same with us. You cant, you wont, put us away because were always going to believe. Thats why this is a perfect, different animal, kind of series. Theyre the other team like us. They dont lose much and when they do they come back and be better in the next game. So weve got to come out and do the same thing." That would explain why on Monday, instead of a day off, the Heat gathered to watch video of Game 2. By winning in San Antonio to even the finals at 1-1, home-court advantage now belongs to the Heat. But no one in their locker room thinks its going to get easy now. "They came out great. They played a great game," Spurs guard Tony Parker said after Miamis 98-96 win in Game 2, the 13th straight time the Heat immediately followed a post-season loss with a victory. "Now its our turn to go over there and get one. We played pretty well all season long on the road and so were going to have two great opportunities to try to come up with a win." Miami has won a franchise-record 11 straight post-season games at home. The last team to win a playoff game in Miami was the Spurs, winning Game 1 of last seasons finals. "We are in a tough situation because weve got to go to Miami and weve got to get one," Spurs guard Manu Ginobili said. "We dont want to come back here 3-1 down. Its very hard to overcome that. Definitely going to be a great challenge for the team to play in an arena like that and having to win." A challenge, sure, but its one Heat coach Erik Spoelstra knows the Spurs can handle.dddddddddddd "Coming back here there has to be an incredible sense of focus and urgency," Spoelstra said Monday. "Theyre a veteran, poised, championship-level team thats been through a lot. The crowd wont affect them much." Neither team thought it played all that well in the game that it won so far in these finals. The Spurs turned the ball over too much for their liking in Game 1 — the game that will be remembered for the air conditioning malfunction and cramps inside a steamy building forcing LeBron James to leave in the final minutes. In Game 2, the Heat werent thrilled with a slow start and how they spent much of the game playing from behind. When James got rolling in the third quarter, things started swinging Miamis way in Game 2. When he found Chris Bosh for the 3-pointer that put Miami ahead for good with 1:18 left, it was just another example of the four-time MVP setting a teammate up for a big play. "Im going to make the right play," said James, who signalled to Bosh about what he wanted on that play. "To have that trust from my teammates, they know when Ive got the ball, Im going to make the right play. Doesnt mean its going to go in. Doesnt mean its going to result in a win, but they believe in my ability." The pressure, if Miami had not found a way to win in the final moments of Game 2, would have been enormous on the two-time defending champions. Now, it seems to have shifted to the Spurs. "It doesnt matter what weve been through before," Spurs forward Tim Duncan said. "Were here now again." The last time these teams met in Miami at this time of year, the Heat wound up spraying champagne in their locker room. Its tempting, Bosh acknowledged, to think that all Miami needs to do for a third straight championship is stay unbeaten at home. But Bosh wont let himself go there. "I can only think about Game 3," Bosh said. "Weve played well at home this post-season. I think we feel we have an advantage now. We have to make sure that we play well and keep it that way." ' ' '
