LONDON -- Arsenals title push was slowed by a draw at Southampton, Liverpool humbled neighbour Everton and Robin van Persie made a goal-scoring return from injury for Manchester United on a lively night in the Premier League on Tuesday. Arsenal clung on to a 2-2 draw at Southampton with 10 men after Mathieu Flamini was sent off in the 80th minute for a two-footed tackle. After trailing through Jose Fontes goal, Arsenal led briefly at the start of the second half when Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla scored but Adam Lallana quickly levelled for Southampton. While Arsenal extended its lead to two points, Manchester City can now go top with a victory at Tottenham on Wednesday. If City slips up, Chelsea can take the lead by beating West Ham. Liverpools focus is Champions League qualification, and a 4-0 derby demolition of Everton -- with Daniel Sturridge scoring twice -- took them three points ahead of Tottenham in fourth place. United is staying in touch with the top four, but remains six points adrift despite Van Persie taking just six minutes to score after almost two months out in a 2-0 victory over bottom-place Cardiff. Jonjo Shelvey and Chico Flores scored as Swansea beat Fulham 2-0 for its first win in nine league games, while Jason Puncheon eased Crystal Palaces relegation fears by clinching a 1-0 victory over Hull. The only game without goals on Tuesday was at Carrow Road, but the drama was provided by the 80th-minute scuffle that led to Norwich midfielder Bradley Johnson and Newcastle striker Loic Remy being sent off. On the south coast, Arsenal experienced an unusually dismal first half in a bright season for Arsene Wengers side. Fonte rose over Nacho Monreal to meet Luke Shaws cross to head past Wojciech Szczesny in the 21st. Arsenal avoided conceding again, and turned the game around after the break, with Giroud deflecting Bacary Sagnas cross into the net in the 48th and Cazorla set up by Mesut Ozil for a goal four minutes later. But Southampton became just the second side to score more than one against the Gunners in their last 22 league games when Lallana scored from Jay Rodriguezs cutback in the 54th. And Arsenal settled for the point after Flamini saw red for a two-footed lunge on Morgan Schneiderlin. At Anfield, Liverpool completely overwhelmed Everton after captain Steven Gerrard headed the hosts in front after 21 minutes. Sturridge then sprung the offside trap twice in two minutes to score a brace, and Luis Suarez scored his 23rd league goal of the season at the start of the second half. Sturridge missed out on a hat trick when he sent a penalty kick over the crossbar after Raheem Sterling was brought down by goalkeeper Tim Howard. "Its a massive victory over rivals close to us," Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said. "If you look at Everton theyve only conceded 11 goals away from home before tonight and for us to get four and to maybe have had a few more is very pleasing." At Old Trafford, it was the perfect debut for record signing Juan Mata, and the perfect return for Van Persie. "We have missed his goals," United manager David Moyes said. After seven weeks out with a thigh injury, Van Persie headed United in front after six minutes, and Ashley Young struck the second after the break. Vapormax Mens Clearance . Louis, MO (SportsNetwork. Each week, TSN.ca Fantasy Editor Scott Cullen and NFL Editors Mitch Ward and Ben Fisher discuss three hot fantasy football topics. 1) Who is the better fantasy quarterback, Michael Vick or Nick Foles? Cullen: Right now, it sure seems like its Nick Foles. Vick provides too much of a roller coaster ride, from a 400-yard passing game in Week Two, to completing fewer than 50% of his passes over the next three weeks. Foles doesnt present the same kind of running threat, and its why he doesnt have a ceiling as high as Vick, but Foles floor ought to be better and when it comes to fantasy, the last thing a team can afford is to get a dud week from the quarterback. Ward: Tough call. It all depends on who is going to play. Foles is getting the start this week but who knows once Michael Vick is 100 percent recovered from his hamstring injury. There are arguments to be made for both as a starter, but personally if Vick is healthy I think he is the starter. His running ability fits in with Chip Kellys style and allows the Eagles to use their whole offensive playbook. A healthy Vicks versatility give him the edge in my eyes because there is always the threat of a monster fantasy day. If he isnt healthy enough to run though, the edge goes to Foles. Fisher: This is a tough one to answer because Vick and Foles each have red flag. Vicks is that hes injury prone while Foles is inexperience, you dont know if Week 6 was an aberration or a sign of things to come. When Vick is healthy, his average fantasy stats put him in the Top 3 among quarterbacks. Despite his stellar debut, that is something I think Foles is unlikely to maintain. I would pick Vick and roll the dice with a waiver wire pickup on weeks hes injured. The real answer of course comes in who the Eagles go with as starter in real football. 2) With a number of rookie receivers breaking out lately, which one will finish the year with the most fantasy points? Cullen: Four rookie receivers -- DeAndre Hopkins, Keenan Allen, Kenbrell Thompkins and Terrance Williams -- have more than 300 yards receiving, so those are the leading contenders (Robert Woods at 274 yards could be in the mix, too) and, from that group, I like Allen the best. He has a prolific quarterback, Philip Rivers, whose game appears to have been resurrected this season and Allen is the best wide receiver option on his team, thanks to Malcom Floyd and Danario Alexander suffering season-ending injuries. Hopkins might be the most gifted of the group, but hes still behind Andre Johnson in the Texans pecking order and the quarterback play in Houston has been shaky to say the least. Thompkins is turning into a big-play threat for Tom Brady, but is competing with Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman and fellow rookie Aaron Dobson for targets. Williams has been a big-play threat for the Cowboys, particularly when Miles Austin was out of the lineup, but it remains to be seen how much he will get the ball now that Austin is healthy. For a team tthat already has Dez Bryant and Jason Witten commanding a lot of attention in the passing game, Williams may need another Austin injury if hes going to finish among the rookie leaders.dddddddddddd Ward: Keenan Allen in San Diego. Philip Rivers is playing very well and has developed some really good chemistry with the 76th overall pick out of Cal. With Malcolm Floyd on IR, the door is open for Allen to seize the Chargers No. 1 receiver job and hes doing just that. Allen has a real chance to make plays and put up good numbers week in and week out. Hes your best rookie receiver for fantasy purposes going forward this season ahead of first rounders like Tavon Austin and DeAndre Hopkins. Fisher: Keenan Allen wouldnt have been the answer a couple of weeks ago, but he might be now. The guy has had a monstrous past two weeks, averaging 7.5 catches, more than 100 yards, and a touchdown. The third-rounder started the year slow, but now that he appears a fixture in the surprising solid San Diego offence, hes a must-own. He might not be able to keep up the 100-yards receiving pace, but should continue to see double-digit targets the rest of the way. Kenbrell Thompkins is still leads all rookie wideouts in points, but Allen is catching up fast. 3) Is Joseph Fauria a one-week wonder, or worth a flyer moving forward? Cullen: Until Fauria starts getting more targets, he has to be considered a one-week wonder. There are reasons that he scored three touchdowns against Cleveland, not least of which is his size mismatch with Browns defensive backs around the goalline, but Fauria has a total of seven catches in six games, five of which have gone for touchdowns. Until the Lions make him part of the offence somewhere other than the goalline or red zone, Fauria isnt worth owning in fantasy leagues. Now, if that three touchdown game sparks some ideas for the Lions brass and suddenly Fauria is a more significant part of the offence, sure, then hes worth the upside play. Ward: Hes probably worth a flyer in deep leagues because he has proven himself to be a legitimate red zone target for Matthew Stafford. He is the definition of a boom or bust play though with his numbers being so heavily dependent on touchdowns. He either scores a touchdown or puts up a bagel. If youre looking for any kind of consistency, Fauria is not your guy. Fisher: Fauria has played in three games and caught at least one touchdown pass in all of them on his just nine targets and seven catches. But even after his incredible three target, three TD performance last week the undrafted rookie still isnt a viable option in fantasy. Hes strictly a red zone specialist so if he doesnt score youll get next to no points out of him. And the healthier Calvin Johnson gets, the less opportunity Fauria will have in the end zone, not to mention defences keying on him after his big day. With Fauria doing so much damage with so little opportunity, Id love to see the Lions bust him out a little more often moving forward. ' ' '
